TRIO Student Support Services
Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally-funded TRIO program that provides opportunities for academic development, assists scholars in meeting basic college requirements, and serves to motivate scholars towards the successful completion of their post-secondary education. Although each program is different, we all have the same purpose: to retain and graduate the scholars we serve.
The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Classic and Disability programs support 260 students and are 100% federally funded for a five-year grant cycle, totaling $558,473 annually by the US Department of Education.
The program has helped me keep on track not only academically but emotionally as well. The resources provided has allowed me to seek opportunities that I normally would not have dared to "try". Overall, TRIO has been life changing. They provide a place for me to really be a Coug. Without them, my transfer to WSU would not have gone as smoothly as it did.
